This is my passenger sled, made by "Maine Made Dog Sleds".
This sled gives you the perspective of driving your own team, and a safe way to learn to drive your own team standing behind me, being able to follow how I turn the sled, and explaining what to watch for. The second passenger sits in the front enjoying the views and watching the dogs work. This position, you need to wear glasses because the dogs kick up snow when running fast.

Northern Illusion has been given rides since "2000". Our dogs have pulled well over a 1,000 people. We are never in a hurry. We only book one Experience per day, in order to give you quality time with our dogs. We do this to help off set the cost, to run and maintain our kennel, and because we enjoy the pleasure it gives people.
PRICING A RIDE
All rides include learning to mush a team of dogs from start to
finish. Learn to care for the dogs, equipment involved, harnessing,
mushing, etc. How much a person chooses to learn and participate
is up to the individual.
A single smaller child can be added ($100 additional) to each of these rides, please ask for details and weight guidelines for each sled.
ONE HOUR RIDE:
10+ Mile Sled Dog Ride with Overnight Accommodations
$250.00 first person and $100.00 for second person
TWO HOUR RIDE:
20+ Mile Sled Dog Ride with Overnight Accommodations
$350.00 first person and $100.00 for second person
HALF DAY EXCURSION:
30+ Mile Sled Dog Ride with Overnight Accommodations
$450.00 first person and $100.00 for second person
FULL DAY EXCURSION:
60+ Mile Sled Dog Ride with Overnight Accommodations
Includes a hot meal cooked on the trail by your Musher!

This winter season Northern Illusion is proud to announce the expansion of available dog sled excursions with a three night two day run, well over 100 miles. Nowhere else in NH will you find a package like this!
PACKAGE INCLUDES:
Your accommodations will be selected by your Musher prior to departure (always a surprise but guaranteed to be warm and cozy). Meals and taxes included. A full day on some of the most picturesque trails of the Great North Woods of New Hampshire. A trailside, cooked meal will be prapered both days byyour very own Musher.

We
offer lessons on how to run your own sled. One way you can experience
using your own sled, is doing a tandem ride. We attach a second
sled to the first. On an open trail you may also share a runner
with me, to get a different perspective. To drive your own team
on your own requires lessons.

BUDGET
BUSTER - Our budget buster for "2007"- "2008" includes; overnight stay in the White Mountains, breakfast, lunch, bone firer/with smores, meet and greet dogs, intro to mushing a team, four to five mile sled dog ride (on trails), snow shoeing, and a ride on snowmobile sled dog trailer. For only $94.00 per person
Dates available; January 5th and 6th. February 9th, 10, 23, and 24th. Limit to 16 people per day.
